OFA Symposium 2023 CfP
The CfP is now open for the OpenForum Academy 2023 Symposium. Submission deadline is 16 June 2023. Please submit an abstract with a maximum of 400 words.
The OFA Symposium is an interdisciplinary conference on Open Source and proposals need to be relevant. A list of suggested topics is available on the Symposium website. We seek papers from academics and practitioners. The audience for the Symposium includes researchers, academics and relevant practitioners in Open Source Software and Open Source Hardware.
Review process
Submitted abstracts are evaluated by the Programme Committee in a double-blind peer review process. If an abstract is accepted, the author agrees to send a full-text paper by 16 October and to make the paper camera-ready by 6 November, after feedback.
Symposium proceedings publication
The journal Technology and Regulation is foreseeing a special issue on Open Source in the context of the OFA Symposium, preliminary to be published in spring 2024. All submissions aiming to be published in the special issue need to report original and previously unpublished research. Acceptance for publication is dependent on the outcome of the journal’s review process.
Presentations
Presentations are scheduled for 25 minutes with time for discussion together with other talks of the same thematic area.
Questions can be directed to: info@openforumeurope.org
Travel support
The organisers are able to cover the travel costs of a select number of presenters. Please indicate in the CfP if you require travel support to come to Berlin.
